I had so much fun painting this little robin bird.  He's only 6" x 6" square on a gallery wrapped canvas, so I painted the sides, too.
I edited the photo by Rita Morgan (used with her permission, of course!), simplifying the twigs.

What was most fun was that I painted pretty quickly, I know I've SAID I'm going to do "daily painting", and I love the free feeling painting not commissioned work give me.

It's a nice balance to painting my custom pet portraits.
